Terms of service

These terms govern Release Compass, provided by Pichner Gábor EV. (Pichner Gábor EV. — TechTrail), Hungary. By creating an account you enter a contract with us. Consumer withdrawal rights under EU distance selling rules apply to paid plans where you act as a consumer; the free plan has no charge.

The service

Release Compass hosts customer-facing changelogs, feeds, email notifications you send to consenting subscribers, and feature or bugfix request boards. You decide what to publish. We do not require GitHub, Jira, or repository access.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep API keys secret and use them only for your projects.
  • Publish only content you have the right to publish. Do not upload unlawful, defamatory, or infringing material (DSA Art. 6).
  • Collect a lawful basis before you send us subscriber emails or voter identities. Changelog email uses the subscriber’s own consent.
  • If you reveal requester or voter names on a public board, tell those people first.

Plans and availability

The free plan includes the limits on the pricing page. Paid features marked “soon” are not part of the current contract. We may change limits with notice. We aim for reasonable uptime but do not warrant uninterrupted service.

Liability

We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or other liability that Hungarian or EU law does not allow us to limit. For other losses, our aggregate liability in a calendar year is limited to the fees you paid us in that year (zero on the free plan), except where mandatory law says otherwise.

Termination

You may stop using the service and ask us to delete the account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or create security risk, after notice where practical.

Law and disputes

Hungarian law applies, without affecting mandatory consumer protections of your EU/EEA country of residence. EU consumers may use the European Commission’s ODR platform; we prefer to resolve issues at info@techtrail.io.
